Two of our favorite spots are Bluebonnet Park off Hwy 287, and Meadow View Park overlooking Bardwell Lake. Texas Bluebonnet Trails, Ennis Take a drive out to see the wildflowers along the mapped back roads around Ennis. Your kids will love Farm Luck Soda Fountain in Downtown! ![]() Tulipalooza in Waxahachie runs from March 10-19th and offers visitors the chance to come out for photo ops in the tulip fields and to cut their own tulips, along with fun festival activities such as live music, a petting zoo and children’s activities. Make a day out of it with a visit to nearby Sharkarosa Wildlife Ranch, where you can see baby camels and even a zorse, a mix between a zebra and horse. Texas Tulips in Pilot Point is a huge tulip farm, where you can pay to spend the day among the tulips for photo ops and cut your own tulips. Enjoy the Flowers! Dallas Blooms at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is open daily and showcases thousands of tulips and other early blooming flowers at their beautiful gardens along White Rock Lake! Adjacent to the Arboretum is The Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden, which can best be described as a huge outdoor museum! Pack a picnic for a relaxing lunch overlooking White Rock Lake! I like to visit early and stop off at nearby Hypnotic Donuts for a chicken and biscuit or fun donut, but next door is the original Hypnotic Emporium, for a fun ice cream treat after the gardens! Scarborough Renaissance Festival, Waxahachie Take a trip back in time at this annual festival, with so many fun activities for the entire family that you may wear your kilt to work!Ģ.
